About Crystal Charlotte Easton
From Crystal Charlotte Easton: I am a Mixed-Indigenous Artist born and raised in the northern village of Fort St. James, BC. My art integrates my mixed heritage to describe my love and aspirations for our families and communities. In 2007 I completed a BA degree in First Nations Studies, with 3 years of Visual Art at Vancouver Island University; In 2009, I completed the foundational Intentional Creativity course 'Legend' and joined the IC community, followed by the inaugural Color of Woman teacher training in 2013. In 2014 I learned the 'Mischtechnique' from master oil painters at Vienna Academy of Visionary Art. With Intentional Creativity to heal and nurture me, I went on to study IFOT-Complex Trauma at the Justice Insitute BC, then an MSW-Indigenous Trauma & Resiliency degree from U of Toronto, and C-Hypnotherapy at HTI. Today, I am a practicing Artist-Healer, with a thriving career, home studio and therapeutic ceremony lodge dedicated to person-centered wellness and resilience in SnuNeyMuxw territory, Vancouver Island. I frequently travel home to the north to share the gifts I've worked (and was supported) to achieve, helping to nurture holistic health in my community and surrounding remote locations.
