About Crystal Charlotte Easton
I was born and raised in Fort St James, BC. My mother is an indigenous (Dene-Cree-Metis) woman and my father is a 3rd generation Canadian. At 26 I moved my young family to Nanaimo to attend university. In 2007 I received a bachelor degree in First Nations studies from VIU with strong focus on Visual Art and Education. I have also achieved various wilderness and sea-kayak certificates, therapy certificates in Indigenous Focussing Oriented Therapy-Complex Trauma, and Compassionate Inquiry (in progress, 2020-2021). I am currently also studying Physics. My mind is curious and Ive learned to take immense joy in the learning process. My art is the product of my learning, and its alot about keeping myself strong and healthy (aka healing) of mind...
